LA. Gunz dituker sama Skid Row??

Ada kabar yang enggak enak nih. setelah saya berkoar-koar kalau L.A. Guns bakal ke Indonesia ternyata, penyelenggara gagal buat ngedatengin mereka, tapi sebagai gantinya mereka bakalan ngedatengin Skid Row, yupz pelantun lagu "I Remember You" yah... slow rock-lah, enggak jelek-jelek juga.

Yang Unik, penyelenggara ngebikin Band yang berbunyi agak mirip sama L.A. Gunz, kalau enggak salah judulnya Los Gunz sebagai band pembuka konsernya Skid Row. Yang digadang-gadang sama mereka bahwa band ini(Los Gunz) bakalan jadi salah satu penegak kembalinya Rock Indonesia sesudah Boomerang dan God Bless.

Yang pasti meskipun mereka gagal ngedatengin salah satu pendiri band legendaris GnR tersebut, kita enggak bakal kecewa banget...... tapi kalo yang ini entar gagal lagi yah, mau gimana lagi, moga-moga aja batal, terus di ganti ngedatengin Metallica, kan nampol tuh.

Gerard Way mati??

Belakangan ini heboh banget yah soal gosip ini, sampe-sampe temen-temen juga pada banyak yang penasaran.

Menurut artikel yang saya baca dari sini diberitakan kalo gosipnya katanya sih dari penyiar Prambors yang waktu itu lagi siaran tewrus nyeletukin berita kaga enak itu.

Ada informasi juga dari answer.Yahoo.com, di salah satu threadnya (disini) yang ngebahas soal ini.

yang buat sayah jadi ikutan penasaran kok berita itu bisa sampe manca yah?? kalo yang nyebarin cuman Prambors kan seharusnya gak sampe manca gitu. Ada beberapa source yang bilang kalo berita ini sebenernya berawal dari situs ensiklopedi wikipedia ,tapi sehabis sayah baca di situs yang sama, disini , nggak ada tuh pernyataan yang ngatain kalo vokalisnya MCR ini meninggal.

FYI, besok januari katanya MCR bakalan ngegelar konser di Indonesia, jadi liat aja siapa vokalnya besok.

AidEN Interview

Not long time ago Seattle`s horror style punkrockers AIDEN released their second full
length called "Nightmare Anatomy"... catchy punkrock tunes, with modern elements you
know from different bands, but it isn`t emo` and it isn`t screamo, it`s just good rock
music... punkrock music! Last year they did the UK together with Silverstein and they
kicked asses. These days Aiden just arrived to play a few shows around here` with
the guys from the Hurt Process. So we took chance to talk with singer Will... about the
band, about style and blablabla... read!

fRk: Guys, first of all... the normal standard question... tell us who you are, why you are and what you are, please;) We are a rock band from Seattle Washington called Aiden, we got together because we love playing music. We want to see the world and put out records.

fRk: Actually you guys seem quite deep into that horror style scene... is it only because
you like the look or from any deeper beliefs or thoughts?

I have been a big horror movie fan my whole life, I like the style and the look. I have also
gone through some pretty rough times with drugs and alcohol. I think when the two is mixed
it gives off a darker look both inside and out.

fRk: Do you think "style" is important?!

If you define style as the way we look? A little yes....I think style may well be better defined
by the way we live and act. I mean I don't buy my clothes from the Gap or Urban Outfitters.
I get them from second hand stores and from ma and pa shops.

fRk: Read that you got your name from this psycho horror movie called "The Ring"...
I think that was a character in the film, wasn`t it?!

Yeah it was the little boy, Aiden.

fRk: So then... what are your favourite 5 horror movies?;)

That is such a hard question.....

fRk: Besides from all that your music appears a bit different from your style. I think it`s quite
melodic and that surprised me somehow. Nice punkrock tunes in modern shirts! Would you
consider it to be "emo", too?! I suppose not...

No not emo. But your definition of emo and mine are probably a little different. Ha ah

fRk: Well, however... musically you`re not that typical Victory band. No oldschool hc
melodies, no people screaming they`re lungs out etc. ... seems that they got more open
minded throughout the last years. So how did you catch their attention?!

We played our fucking asses off. Last year we played over a hundred shows with two of our
guys still in High school. We built a fan base around the northwest and did some small diy
tours , Victory noticed what was happening and signed us. It all happened really fast. We are
really grateful for everything that has happened.

fRk: "Nighmare Anatomy" was your debut on Victory... also your own first full length release?
Just read that you`ve been through some line up changes, that you played bass first and AIDEN
had a different singer...

No we released a full length in 2004 called "Our Gangs Dark Oath". Nightmare is our second
full length. When I joined the band, I joined as the bass player and 2 weeks into it, the singer
quit. Leaving me to do the singing. We got nick about 5 months after the band had been
started right before we recorded Our Gangs

fRk: Did you use to sing before, like background vocals or whatever or did you just try and it
worked?! ... well, that it worked, we can hear now;)

Yeah I did backgrounds and stuff. I had sang in a different band right before I joined Aiden
so when the singer quit It felt natural for me to assume that role.

fRk: Ahhh, you`re from Seattle... wasn`t that the "grunge" capitol?! I think it was;) so what
about the music scene there nowadays... did it change or is it still the same?!

Grunge? What the hell is that?!? Jokes.... No the "Grunge scene" has been dead for some
time now. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news. The scene in Seattle has changed quite a bit
since the mid 90's, there are a whole bunch of different kinds of bands now. Its awesome.

fRk: Last year you did the UK with Silverstein (or was it Spitalfield?! Sorry, forgot;)
and people said you really kicked asses... maybe even more than the headlining band.
When people say that, propbably the mean you`re a good band... but how do you deal
with it?! Is it like... okay, we have come so far and established ourselves in the scene,
doesn`t matter what`s next... or do you still think you can "learn" and get better?!

It was with Silverstein, that tour was so fucking rad. We had a blast. I guess when people
say stuff like that we take it as a compliment. We are not sure if it's true....We know that we
can always improve on a lot of things. There's still a lot of learning to go.

fRk: Right now, you`re just doing some european shows (especially in Germany)
with the guys from Hurt Process... everything going well?!

Yes everything is going awesome, we played in Koln tonight it was a lot of fun. Europe is an
amazing place, it's somewhere I have always wanted to come. Now I am here and I want to
stay longer. We will return in april for another tour, I can't wait for that.

fRk: And right when you`re back it goes on and on with touring... somewhere I read that
you`re still in school... well, it said 2004... but have you finished or still off?!

Yeah Jake and Angel Graduated just this past June and we have been on the road since.
I imagine we will be on the road for the next couple of years. That's something I have always
dreamed of. I am fucking stoked!!!

fRk: By the way, how old are you guys then?

18 19 21 23 23.....You guess who's who.

fRk: So let`s get to the end... AIDEN, what`s next (when touring finished;)

New record and More touring!!!!!! HA hA fuck yes!!!

L.A. Guns bakalan gempur Indonesia!!

Ini mungkin posting terakhir saya untuk jangka waktu yang tidak tentu...... karena saya sedang terlilit dalam masalah keluarga (sucks!) yah nyokap mau ke Belanda-lah(sekolah lho! bukan jadi TKW)..... Bokap yang kena tekanan kerja dan saya yang kena getahnya..... salah dikit aja udah marahnya minta ampun sumpah!! semuanya sampah!! pengin rasanya jedukin kepala ke meja.........

L.A. Guns Bakal ke Indonesia
Lebih tepatnya 10 kota besar se-Indonesia yang membuat saya senang adalah: L.A. Guns bukan cuman ke Jakarta tapi ke kota saya juga!! Semarang!! hati ini rasanya campur aduk antara senang ama sedih......hiks hiks

Mungkin anama L.A. Guns agak asing di telinga kalian tapi kamu2 yang udah baca artikel saya ttg Guns And Roses pasti udah gak asing lagi... yah minimal pernah dengar dikit2 lah. Yup! L.A. Guns sebenernya pendiri dari Guns and Roses tepatnya Tracii Guns yang kala itu mendirikan GnR bareng Axl Rose tapi barangkali ga cocok, Tracii balik lagi ke L.A. Guns posisinya yang kosong itu diganti ama Slash.

Yah bisa dibilang band ini cukup tua.... bahkan lebih tua dari GnR tapi tentu dengan jam terbang yang tinggi pastinya kemampuan musikalitas mereka juga memadai


Semoga saja L.A. Guns memberikan pertunjukan yang bisa memuaskan kita semua...

Kebangkitan Dave Mustaine,Kebangkitan MEGADETH

Beberapa saat yang lalu saya sempat menuliskan perjalanan Dave Mustaine dkk sampai terakhir sampai sembuhnya tangan Dave Mustaine yang pernah lumpuh karena terjatuh dari kursi, sebenernya, tak lama Dave memutuskan untuk membubarkan Megadeth dan memulai berkarir solo, tapi karena ada kesalahan ama label, "The System Has Failed" yang seharusnya jadi album solo Dave diubah jadi albumnya Megadeth. Di album tersebut, Megadeth yang masih diperkuat Chris Poland seharusnya jadi album penutup dalam sejarah Megadeth.

Kedaan benar-benar berubah saat Megadeth menggelar tur promo albumnya itu, tak disangka sambutan para fans setia MEgadeth sangat antusias sehingga Dave berpikir ulang untul membatalkan rencana bersolo-karir.buah dari pemikiran tersebut adalah keluarnya album Megadeth belum lama ini (2007) "United Abomination", tentunya dengan perombakan sebagian besar personel, didepaknya Chris Poland digantikan darah segar Glen Drover, basis James Lomenzo, serta drum, digantikan oleh Shawn Drover, untuk sound, Dave memilih co-producer Andy Sneap, orang yang berperan besar di band-band metal masa kini macam;"Trivium, Kill Switch Engage,, Nevermore, dll" tujuan Dave adalah, agar suara Megadeth lebih modern......

Akankah "United Abominations" mendapatkan respons seantusias "The System Has Failed" dari para pencintanya?? kita lihat saja nanti, bila tidak, bisa saja Dave sebagai nyawa,roh serta pendiri Megadeth "benar-benar" membubarkan band legendaris yang berdiri sejak 1984 ini........


Comeback The Police

Bicara soal Come Back, bukan cuma Megadeth, tapi band uzur taun 80an, The Police. Usai masuk di Rock n Roll Hall Of Fame, Sting, Andy Summers, ama Stewart Copeland mau reuni plus manggung lagi, melihat animo penonton yang bagus, A&M pun ngluncurin album kompilasi The Police yang berisi 28 lagu2 The Police di masa silam.

The Police Sendiri cuma tenar beberapa saat (6 tahun)tapi di usia yang sebegitu singkat ,penjualan Album2 The Police di seluruh dunia mencapai 50juta kopi (6tahun!!)....

lagu2 hitsnya antara lain:"Every Breath You Take", "Walking On The Moon", Message In A Botte". Band yang berdiri 1978 ini "resmi" bubar di 1984.....kesuksesan yang besar untuk waktu yang singkat.


Herman Li ke bandung!!

Berhubung dengan adanya even "Herman Lin Ibanez Asian Clinic Tour 2007" Herman Li berkunjung ke bandung , kota satu-satunya klinik gitar Ibanez di Indonesia......

Disana, partner Sam Totman di DragonForce ini memainkan beberapa lagu-lagu dari bandnya termasuk hit "Through The Fire And Flames" didepan para penggemar yang bukan hanya dari bandung.

Penampilan Herman dengan memainkan alat barunya: "Source Audio Hot Hand" yang berbentuk cincin yangberfungsi sebagai semacam pedal expression , yaitu untuk menciptakan efek berdasar gerak jari pemakainya. Alat tersebut sebenarnya hampir digunakan Herman pas konser di Indonesia tapi berhubung ada sedikit kerusakan maka dia batal mengenakanya di Jakarta.
